Small towns can have some of the best locations for portraits…. the tiny towns of Starke and Lake Butler are no exceptions!!
Meet Montana, Proud Union County High School Class of 2017 Graduate! When her Mom and I started talking about what kind of pictures and locations Montana wanted for her Senior Portraits, it was mentioned that she had to have a couple pictures in her cheer uniform since it’s been a big part of her High School career (winning many awards btw! woot!)
Now knowing that, I knew we had to stay close to that area for pictures so, one day I came to Lake Butler to scout out locations as I wasn’t familiar with the area. Dare I say, it did not disappoint! I saw some cute places in Lake Butler and then kept driving til I hit Starke where I learned they have a super cute downtown area (that I have managed to drive around on my many trips to St Augustine over the years)! I just HAD to take her there!! As you’ll see from the first two outfits in these images, lots of great color and textures….Add in an absolutely stunning girl and there you have it! 😉
You’ll also see a few images of Montana with a picture frame with her Grandfather’s image… This was all her idea and such a sweet one! She wanted to make sure he was included in this special time in her life. When we started talking about her grandpa, who she lost at a very young age, it was quite emotional! But, she pulled it together and thought all of the happy memories and about how he’s still watching over her even if he can’t be here to see her graduate in person. I just love that she wanted to make sure he was not forgotten. <3
We shot from afternoon to past dark getting many different looks and she pulled off every look! Please enjoy some of her favorite shots from her session.
