Hey Seniors and Senior Parents! I’ve had a lot of confusion and questions regarding senior pages with my own clients for this upcoming senior year regarding your Senior Formal pics and your Yearbook ad ordering setup so, after a lengthy q&a with your Journalism teacher, I’ve got lots of answers to the questions that are coming up.
First, for those that don’t know, when you book your Senior Portrait Session with me, you also get the option of us custom designing your Senior Yearbook page together so that it’s not one of those few template options they have and your Yearbook page is designed to show who you are in this point in your life and stand out from the pages that all look the same. 😉 There is no extra fee for this service and There’s still some time to get on the schedule if you’d like to lock in your Senior session and get your page custom designed too!
This year, the dates are later than past years so, if you want to lock in your Senior Session a little later in the year to attempt to get cooler weather, that’s an option! haha But, keep in mind, once school starts, you may be trying to squeeze it into an action packed senior schedule to work around.
Now on to some questions that have been coming up.
Do I have to drive all the way to Jacksonville to Cady Studios to get my formal picture for the Yearbook taken?
NO. While normally, Senior yearbook pictures are done during the summer, they did move the dates to a later date due to Covid 19. Some have missed the notice posted with the new dates for Senior Formal pictures to be taken at Columbia High that have been scheduled and they are as follows:
September 8, September 9, September 18, September 19 and Last call on October 10 (can’t be scheduled until later date). You can reserve your spot by visiting this link HERE . It’s not the easiest site to Navigate through and if you click the wrong kind of backdrop you won’t have Columbia High as a location option (note if it says studio only scene, that’s a Jacksonville option only). If you’d prefer to do your whole Senior session with them using their other backdrops, you will need to travel to Jacksonville to their Studio. Also, make sure you select the Florida Columbia High as there’s a Georgia option as well. I’ll include instructions at the very bottom of this page below the Q&A’s for those who need help.
The rest of this post is regarding Senior Pages/Yearbook Ads
When is the deadline for Senior Pages?
As of this month’s changes, there is no early bird/late bird deadlines. All yearbook pages are due by December 1st.
What is the cost of a Senior Page?
There isn’t a deadline induced price point anymore. All Senior Pages are $250 and a yearbook as an add on to your Senior Page is $50. Note, you can pay for them and order both at the same time when you submit your ad or you can order your yearbook later. The cost will still be $50 if you’ve purchased a Yearbook Ad. If you haven’t purchased an ad, you can purchase the yearbook by itself for a slightly higher cost which will increase as the school year progresses.
Can I order my Senior Page in person at the High School or does it have to be online?
As a precaution and to prevent any further spread of COVID 19, They have recently opted for an online only order option for you to submit your pages whether it be the template options where you put your pics into the optional templates available or for your custom page submission. If a parent or student needs help, they have discussed the option of zoom or some other Video conference to walk you through if you absolutely need help and questions answered.
If I want to submit a custom page instead of choosing from the templates, how can I do so?
If you or I are creating your Senior Page (or someone else you know), you will go into the ordering site at yearbookordercenter.com. Enter your school code which is 15259 and click continue where it mentions your school name.
Next, you’ll select the option for “Buy a Yearbook Ad”. Click the size whether it be Full or Half Page and then “buy for a Student”. The site will then ask you for student name.
Currently and until the school year starts, no students names are in the system. You will “Add Student” and manually enter your name and grade level and then click next after you submit and it will bring you to create a login or you can login if you have already created one.
If you are a Senior of mine and would like me to directly upload your page for you and make sure it’s aligned properly before submitting, I will happily do so for you. You’ll just need to send me the Email and Password you created for this account (don’t make it a sensitive password you use often if you want to send me your password).
If uploading yourself, Once you go from there you’ll click on the Single Photo option and upload your design and make sure nothing important is clipped off on your page.
Once you submit your page, you’ll want to add your yearbook to your order if you want to knock it all out at once before you go to checkout. Once at checkout, submit your payment and then you can mark one more thing off your Seniors to do list! woot!
I hope I have helped answer some questions that many have been asking me or if you haven’t started the process yet, hopefully this will help prepare you for what’s to come. 😉 Feel free to share this with other CHS 2021 Parents and Seniors as well.
