Steven & Jennifer – Elopement and Couples Session – Lake City, Fl Photographer

This blog is long overdue but, was something I had to hold off on until they told all of their family and friends. haha It’s actually two blogs in one.

Meet Steven and Jennifer. Jennifer called me in January after she and Steven decided they didn’t want to wait anymore and chose to elope. After chatting a bit and getting to know her and hearing all about Steven, I was super excited to be capturing this special time for them!

They had been dating for several years and Jennifer had just graduated from college in Orlando, Steven got a job here in Lake City and she followed him here. They knew that forever was in their plans and actually had their wedding planned for January of 2018 at Southern Pines here in Lake City but, when you know you’re head over heels in love and just can’t wait…. you don’t!

It was a beautiful morning for a Wedding. In true, typical Florida fashion, it wasn’t very cold… just comfy. I met them and their two friends who they had attending as their witnesses and were also sworn to secrecy! 😉

You could tell from the moment we walked into the courthouse that Steven couldn’t wait to marry his bride! He was so giggly and very obviously in love. We waited for the clerk to get all of their paperwork together and then she legally married them in the courthouse. If I’m being honest, they don’t have a great setup for those eloping in the courthouse and there wasn’t much room for me to move around to get the angles I wanted but, at the time, they weren’t concerned because it meant they would forever be united and that is all that mattered.

Afterwards, we walked around in and out of the courthouse and got some adorable shots of them together. You can tell in those pictures just how much in love they are. See below.

Then in May, it came time for what was going to be their Engagement pictures which then changed to Elopement Announcement pictures. We chose Southern Pines… where they were going to be married. They decided at that point to announce their marriage and invest in their future instead of having the big wedding they originally imagined. They were in love and that’s all that mattered. <3

They had just gotten their pup, Maddox, and naturally, he had to be included since he was now a part of their family. 😉

We wondered around this beautiful venue, chatted about their future plans and chased an energetic pup who wanted to play with the big horsey on the other side of the fence! haha I’m in love with how the images turned out.

Chace – CHS Class of 2018 – St Augustine, Fl Senior Session

Sweet, handsome, talented….yep, that’s Chace! What better way to start the Class of 2018 Senior Sessions than with this handsome guy!?

Thanks to Florida and Mother Nature, we had to start his session bright and early at Sunrise and I don’t think I heard him complain even once! What a joy it was to capture this special time in his life as he prepares to begin his Senior year of High School. He was a total Rockstar and made my job easy. <3

It’s official, You’re Invited! New Studio Location Grand Opening

07.24.17

***8/14/17 Update*** Hello all, unfortunately, due to an issue we came across yesterday (old buildings mean unexpected surprises) while finishing up the studio, we have been put behind just enough to not be able to finish in time for tomorrow’s original ribbon cutting date so, we are sadly, having to reschedule our ribbon cutting to the next available date the Chamber had open which is October 17th. We realize this is a long time away but, by then, any kinks will for sure be worked out and on the plus side, it will hopefully be a little cooler! haha If you don’t want to wait that long to get to see the new place, feel free to call anytime and I’ll be happy to give you a tour (and of course all clients will be in here for their image viewings, etc. throughout that time). We hope you will still join us on the new date to see what we’ve been up to, come enjoy a cocktail or other beverage and celebrate with us and have a good time. Thank you for your understanding.

I know I posted a little post on Social Media announcing the new Studio but, I realized I never posted anything on the blog! What better time to post than with an invite for you all!!

We have been working our tails off going back and forth renovating in between my shoots, meetings and editing (those of you who follow me on Snapchat – user name estaebe – have been seeing some behind the scenes updates). Thank goodness for a hubby who is good at everything! <3

I was pretty limited with the old studio and it started getting a little cramped as the business grew (Thanks to all of you!). Some of you knew that I have been searching for the perfect place for goodness, about a year now? Almost bought a place, things happened and now, here we are in a place downtown that I love and almost done with the renovations and I can not be more excited to show you all what I’ve been up to!!

Of course, once everything is completed, I’ll get my handy dandy camera out and take pictures of the setup but, I would absolutely love to see your smiling faces at the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on August 15, 2017 hosted by the Lake City Chamber of Commerce. The Ribbon Cutting will be right around 4:30 but, if you can’t make it til 5 or later, come on over! We’ll probably be there for a while as it’s a time to celebrate!! There will be beer, wine and maybe a special cocktail, refreshments and even a door prize or two! 😉 Go ahead and mark it on your calendar if you’re free. Look forward to seeing you soon! <3

Kaitlin – CHS Class of 2017 – Mars Hill, Max Patch NC Senior Session

This session is a very special session for me. I absolutely loved all of my Seniors I have photographed this year. Seriously, SUCH an amazing group of students that are going to make our society a better place because they are in it.

My last Class of 2017 Senior Session I’m blogging is my own beautiful daughter and it is so bitter sweet.

They always tell you to love them like there is no tomorrow because time will fly faster than you know. Well, I’m here to tell you, no truer words have been said!! It feels like yesterday that this beautiful bright eyed baby with a head full of hair came into this world and this week, she walked across the stage to accept her diploma as a Class of 2017 Columbia High School graduate!!

I am so unbelievably proud of her for everything she has accomplished and all that she plans to accomplish. She graduated with her diploma and also her CNA certification which is only the beginning of her health career she has planned. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time as she prepares to take this long journey to becoming a Surgeon. Something she has talked and dreamed about for years. She is smart and talented and I know as long as she puts her mind to it, she can achieve anything she sets out to do! (She’s even great at pictures but, sadly doesn’t want to follow in Mom’s footsteps! lol)

For her Senior Session, she originally wanted snow so, we booked a stay for January in Mars Hill, NC as it’s close to a Ski Resort (in case it didn’t happen to snow the weekend we went). Wouldn’t you know, the week before we were to be there, it snowed like crazy and the next week…. nothing! It stayed about 40 degrees the whole time we were there so, snow was long gone by then.

We took pictures every day we were there as we explored different areas on our adventure. Starting in Downtown Mars Hill, NC….one of the cutest little towns with amazing small Mom and Pop restaurants (like everything was good!!), and then went travelling further into Hot Springs, NC where we found this gorgeous creek with falls, etc to get into and lastly, we hiked Max Patch for some amazing views at the top of this “Bald” Mountain. Max Patch is a very steep hike (on the edge of North Carolina and Tennessee) but, oh so worth it!! When you get to the top, it’s a 360 degree view of all the mountains around you. Absolutely breathtaking!!

As you’ll see, there is no snow. We were going to shoot in snow on the last day but, decided not to because the snow at the resort was on the ground only and not in the trees and we thought it wasn’t as magical that way.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy her favorite images. I’m in love with them all. I may be partial but, goodness, I have a gorgeous daughter! <3

Alex & Kali – Couples Session + RN Graduation + something extra – Kanapaha Botanical Gardens – Gainesville, Fl Photographer

Get Ready! This blog post is packed FULL of pictures!! What started as portraits to celebrate Alex’ Graduation from the RN Program at Florida Gateway College (Yay Alex!) morphed into a Couples session (with both Formal and Casual looks) AND a “Family” session to have pics for their new home of all 3 room mates together (Alex, Kali & Zach)! hehe and then there’s this super adorable picture of little Miss Evee who decided she wanted to play nurse while we were taking some of Alex’ pictures at her house before we left for Gainesville. So precious!

Congratulations again Alex (and Zach who Graduated from the RN program with Alex as well!!). I’m so excited to see what your future holds! 🙂
